Rise Anyway

On the Halifax waterfront, a twisted streetlight stands in quiet defiance — part of the public art installation The Way Things Are. 

On this winter morning, the rising sun caught it perfectly. The steel bent under pressure, the air frozen solid, but the light still broke through. 

This image isn’t about perfection. It’s about persistence. It’s a reminder that no matter how cold the world feels, or how far you’ve bent — you can still rise.
