Rise and repeat

These three lamp posts are part of a public art installation called The Way Things Are.

• The first stands tall — as if things are okay.
• The second? Locals call it Got Drunk.
• And the third? Fell Down.

It’s raw. It’s real. It’s life.

I used to work in the beer industry during university. Mornings like this weren’t for watching sunrises — they were recovery mode, hazy from the night before.

Now, I come here on purpose.

This photo captures more than steel and light.

It captures the cycle:

We rise.

We stumble.

We fall.

We rise again.

And in the distance — two people just starting their day, glowing in the colours of possibility.

Maybe that’s the best kind of metaphor for life.

Rise and Repeat.

Because no matter how the night ends, the sun still shows up.
